Titanium dioxide is the most important white pigments and possesses all round suitability. Of the two crystalline forms of titanium dioxide, only rutile form is of significance to the coloration of thermoplastics. The second crystalline form, Anatase is recommended only if its lower degree of hardness is of importance. Sidma Polymers offers a wide range of white masterbatches with a concentration of upto 60% titanium dioxide based on PE & PP. These masterbatches are suitable for packaging films, fibers, woven and non woven, BOPP, bottles and injection molded articles. Slip additives are used to reduce the coefficient of friction to the surface of the finished product. They help in speeding up the production process and ensure quality of the final product. Slip agents are used in applications where surface lubrication is desired, either during or immediately after processing. The major types of slip additives include

• Fatty acid amides
• Fatty acid esters
• Metallic stearates
• Waxes

Slip additives are effective when they bloom on to the surface. Different slip additives have different rate of bloom. The shorter chain length amides (widely used slip additive) bloom to the surface more rapidly however they are less thermally stable. Permanent slip additives does not change COF over time, are non-migratory, very effective mold release for blow molded bottles. We at Sidma Polymers make all kinds of slip masterbatch.

SIDMA Nucleating Agent Masterbatch improves mechanical properties, stiffness and clarity of the injection molded or thermoformed product. It allows the downgauging of polypropylene parts and end products while maintaining the same rigidity. Melt fracture is a surface roughness on films, bottles, wire and cable, pipes or other extruded shapes, resulting from a slip/stick action of molten polymer exiting a die. It is more often seen with tougher resins such as LLDPE and HDPE. Process aids are highly efficient additives to improve the extrusion efficiency of thermoplastic resin by eliminating surface defects and increasing output. PPAs are used in processes such as blown film, cast film, blow molding, wire and cable jacketing, pipe and tube extrusion and extruded fiber processing. Significant benefits are demonstrated at very low levels of addition to wide range of resins.

Corrosion leads to degradation or deterioration of the material due to reaction between environment and material. Corrosion is a major issue with metal parts during storage and distribution. Presence of oxygen and moisture in the atmosphere accelerates corrosion of ferrous and non ferrous metals. Vapor corrosion inhibitor masterbatch is a PE based product which forms a protective layer on the outer surface of the metal part and thus prevents corrosion of the metal. The product is highly effective at low concentrations of 4-6% and compatible with most polymers. It is non-carcinogenic and all the ingredients in the masterbatch are RoHS compliant.

Flame retardant additives are essential safety materials used in transportation, building, appliances and electronic industries to prevent human injury or death and to protect property from fire damage. Flame retardant additive reduces ease of ignition, smoke generation and rate of burn of plastics. Flame retardants can be organic or inorganic in composition and typically consists of halogens, phosphorous, antimony or aluminum materials. The additives are classified as either char formers, heat absorbers, flame quenchers or synergists. Flame retardants are used at loading levels from a few percent to more than 60%, leading to degradation of the inherent physical properties of the resin. The selection of flame retardant additives depends on both physical and economical suitability of the resin system and intended application.

Potential Induced Degradation (PID) is a potential induced performance degradation in photovoltaic modules caused by stray currents. This effect may cause power loss of upto 30%. Sidma Polymers PID masterbatch is an ion capturing agent which combines heat resistance and excellent ion trapping capacity. By adding it to the sealing resin, it raises the reliability of IC sealants. PID masterbatch are used for EVA back sheet covers in solar cells.
